Custom enchants, and which ones are worth the XP

The King of the Hill warzone castle on OraclePvP

Custom enchant books are bought at the Armoury and layered on top of gear that already has vanilla enchants. They are priced in XP by rarity, which makes XP a real currency rather than something you accumulate by accident.

The four tiers

TierXP costMax level
Common8,6703
Rare24,0504
Legendary47,5205
Divine526,9206
ExclusiveGem Shop kit onlyvaries

Note the jump: Divine costs more than ten times Legendary. That is the tier to plan for rather than stumble into. /enchantinfo explains any book in game, and the full reference with per level numbers is in the wiki.

What actually changes your rate

Enchants split into two groups: ones that raise your output, and ones that remove a chore. The second group is usually worth more.

  • Replenish replants as you harvest, which turns farming from two passes into one.
  • Harvester widens what a single swing collects.
  • Swifthand keeps you moving between blocks.
  • Keyfinder boosts key drops, which is the currency behind most crates.

Those four plus a Harvester Hoe do the heavy lifting for crop farming, and they matter more than any single damage enchant if your income is agricultural.

Combat enchants

The combat set is Lightning, Withering, Backstabbing, Viper and Bloodlust, and these are the ones the artifact weapons carry at Level X. If you are building toward contesting the Underworld, where only the top three damagers get paid, this is where XP should go.

Mining and woodcutting

Explosive and Tunnel Vision drive the Shockwave Pickaxe, Lumberjack and Tree Feller drive the axe, and Dune Digger and Buried Instinct drive the shovel at Pirates Bay. Each is location specific, so buy for the location you actually grind.

Where XP comes from

Worth knowing before you commit to a Divine book: Mineshaft prestige costs 2,500 XP levels per prestige, so if you are prestiging mines you are competing with your own enchanting budget. Plan which one you want first.
