Late game
Prestige, and why it is the real late game
Prestige is the point where the late game stops being about bigger numbers and starts being about permanent multipliers. Each major location can be prestiged once you have climbed to its final level.
What prestiging does
It resets that location to level 1 with higher requirements and a cost. In exchange you get two permanent perks, and permanent is the important word:
- A permanent skill EXP boost.
- A permanent bonus rare drop chance for that location's signature item.
There are 25 prestiges per location, then a final maxed tier.
The skill EXP curve
| Prestige | I | V | X | XV | XX | XXV |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skill EXP | 1.1x | 1.5x | 2.0x | 2.5x | 3.0x | 3.5x |
It climbs +0.1x per prestige and replaces the previous tier rather than stacking, capping at 3.5x. Do not plan around multiplying them together.
The drop bonus does stack
Unlike the EXP boost, the rare drop bonus stacks on top of the location's base rate:
| Location | Bonus per prestige | At prestige 25 |
|---|---|---|
| Mineshafts | +1 in 5,000 Spirit Bones | 1 in 200 blocks |
| Woodlands | +1 in 10,000 Forest Hearts | 1 in 400 logs |
| Pirates Bay | +1 in 10,000 Treasure Chests | 1 in 400 sand |
| Dungeons | +1 in 2,500 Mega Boss reward | 1 in 100 kills |
A fully prestiged mineshaft is a completely different server to a fresh one. Spirit bones at 1 in 200 blocks turn a rare redemption into a routine one.
What it costs
Prestiging costs money and a second currency, which is what stops it being a pure cash sink. Money runs from $4M at prestige I to $100B at prestige XXV. On top of that each location wants its own currency:
- Mineshafts: 2,500 XP levels a time
- Woodlands: orbs
- Pirates Bay: fragments
- Dungeons: mobcoins
All scale on the same curve as the money cost.
Which to prestige first
Prestige what you actually grind. The EXP boost is per location, so prestiging a location you never visit buys you nothing. If you are undecided, Dungeons has the most generous drop bonus at +1 in 2,500 per prestige, reaching 1 in 100 kills, and mobcoins are easier to accumulate than XP levels.
Prestige runs alongside island growth stages, which gate your upgrades separately. The two together are the whole late game.

25 per location, then a final maxed tier.
